Many people learn mathematical skills because they are necessary for work and daily life. Children's thinking and skills include matching, grouping, organizing, counting, separating, measuring, and comparing. Arithmetic activities are taught to young children through play, as the principle of early childhood education is “learning through play.” The arithmetic skills of Group A children at RA Bayyinurrohman are still low. This is due to the lack of variety in activities, causing children to easily become bored, making it difficult for teachers to engage them, keep them focused, serious, and concentrated during number concept introduction lessons, as well as activities that are not suitable for the characteristics of young children. Another issue contributing to the low mathematical ability of Group A is that the games used in learning are not engaging enough. Based on the title and background above, the researcher formulates the problem as follows: How can the mathematical ability of children be improved through the traditional game of congklak in Group A at RA Bayyinurrohman in Silihwangi Village for the 2024/2025 academic year? This study aims to improve children's counting skills through the traditional game of congklak. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research design/model used is the Kemmis and MC Taggart model. This research was conducted in two cycles. The tools used for data collection are observation, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this research are Group A with 10 students. The success indicator set is 80% of the 10 children, which falls into the “Developing as Expected” (DAE) category. The children's arithmetic skills showed a significant improvement from Cycle I, where only 40% or 4 children were classified as Developing as Expected (DAE), an increase of 30% compared to the pre-cycle phase, which was only 10% or 1 child. In Cycle II, 90% of children, or 9 children, were classified as Developing as Expected (DAE). It can be concluded that the traditional game of congklak can improve the mathematical skills of children in Group A at RA Bayyinurrohman.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ethfal: Journal of Islamic Education for Young Childrenhttps://jurnal.staipuimajalengka.ac.id/index.php/hy/article/view/207Peningkatan Kreativitas Seni Rupa Anak Usia Dini melalui Media Bahan Alam2026-03-11T15:53:45+07:00Sunartisunarti@gmail.com
The cultivation of human creativity should begin at an early age. A creative environment and the availability of opportunities for children to engage in various creative activities greatly assist in developing their creative culture. It is important to remember that the world of children is the beginning of their creative development. Children are creative individuals; with their imagination and creativity, they can become pilots and fly around the sky using only a pencil, or become heroes who help those in need, and so on. Thus, fundamentally, children possess natural creative potential. Parents and educators, in this case, are tasked with optimizing this potential. Difficulties children face in developing their artistic creativity can hinder their ability to create creative ideas or concepts in daily life, as previously explained, humans are born with creative potential. Based on the title and background above, the researcher formulates the problem as follows: How can efforts be made to enhance children's artistic creativity through natural materials at SPS Bina Balita Cingambul for the 2024/2025 academic year? This study aims to determine efforts to enhance early childhood visual arts creativity through natural materials in Group B at SPS Bina Balita Cingambul, Majalengka District. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research design/model used is the Kemmis and MC Taggart model. This study was conducted in three cycles. The tools used for data collection include observation methods, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study are students at SPS Bina Balita, with a total of 20 children. The success indicator set was 75% of the 20 children falling into the “Developing as Expected” (DAE) category. The results of the study showed that the children's creativity levels were initially low, with a pre-cycle percentage of 15.63% in the DAE category. After the first meeting of Cycle I, this increased to 28.75%, which was still insufficient to achieve learning mastery. In the first meeting of Cycle II, the results were significantly better than before, reaching 63.75%, but this was still below the learning mastery threshold. Therefore, the researcher conducted Cycle III, resulting in a percentage of 93.13%. This was considered successful because in Cycle III, the children at SPS Bina Balita achieved learning completion with the category of Developing as Expected (BSH).
2026-03-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ethfal: Journal of Islamic Education for Young Childrenhttps://jurnal.staipuimajalengka.ac.id/index.php/hy/article/view/204Upaya Meningkatkan Percaya Diri Melalui Metode Bermain Peran2026-03-10T14:15:58+07:00Ela Mustikawatielamustikawati@gmail.com
The background of this study is that there are still children who lack confidence in communication, socialization, interaction, and learning activities. As a result, these children cannot directly demonstrate their work or learning outcomes and also have difficulty playing with their peers. Therefore, the development of self-confidence is truly needed by children so that in the future they will not be afraid to demonstrate all their abilities and can maximize and develop their potential, which can be beneficial for themselves and others. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research to improve and enhance children's self-confidence, and the author is interested in using the role-playing method to enhance children's self-confidence.

Based on this background, the author has formulated the following research questions: 1). How is the role-playing method applied to Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village? 2). What is the level of self-confidence among children in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village? 3). Can the role-playing method increase the self-confidence of children in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village? This study aims to: 1). To determine the application of the role-playing method in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village. 2). To describe the self-confidence of children in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village. 3). To examine efforts to improve children's self-confidence through the role-playing method in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. This study was conducted in three cycles. The research subjects were 23 children in Group B at Tiara Bunda Kindergarten in Cibuluh Village. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation to complement the research object data. The instrument used was an observation sheet. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively. The success indicators set were that if the children achieved individual learning completeness, they would reach the Expected Development (BSH) level, and for the class level, at least 75% of the 23 children would have self-confidence with the Expected Development (BSH) criteria. The research results indicate an increase in the data obtained before the cycle and after the implementation of the action in cycles 1, 2, and 3. The percentage of children in the “Developing as Expected” (BSH) category was 40% in the pre-cycle, 53.4% in Cycle 1, 62.6% in Cycle 2, and 78.1% in Cycle 3. This study was deemed successful as it achieved the predetermined success indicator of 75%.
2026-03-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ethfal: Journal of Islamic Education for Young Childrenhttps://jurnal.staipuimajalengka.ac.id/index.php/hy/article/view/205Penerapan Kegiatan Kolase Media Bahan Alam dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Motorik Halus Anak 2026-03-11T15:50:03+07:00Euis Atikaeuisatika@gmail.com
The background of this research isdelay in fine motor development of early childhood as seen through collage using activitiesnatural material mediamarked by the lack of skill of students in developing creativity using media in learning, especially innatural material media. Activities involving children's gross motor skills serve as formers and regulators of muscle, bone, and nervous system growth. Children's movement skills can develop and improve effectively if the aspects constituting their basic movements are developed from the outset. The indicators of issues in children's gross motor skills include teachers not fully understanding the importance of gross motor skill development and not incorporating gross motor activities into their lessons, resulting in underdeveloped movement skills in children. Additionally, some children lack confidence in performing activities, leading them to refuse to participate. Based on the title and background above, the author formulates the following problems: 1). What is the gross motor skill ability of young children in Group A at RA Ridwanul Huda in Jagamulya Village? 2).
